Luckily, there is help for people with short eyes (hyperopic), making it possible to relax the extra stress on the muscles during accommodation.

By means of a convex lens (plus) in front of the eye, the accommodation muscles are allowed to relax. Thereby, possible strain (headache etc.) due to hyperopia might be relieved!

The strongest +lens giving the best visual acuity at distance, is a measure of the degree of hyperopia and is also the notation of the refraction. The reason for selecting the strongest +lens, is that we want to relax the accommodation as much as possible.
